Living room
Afternoons drift by on the big yellow sofa, a book in your hands and the light changing colour on the walls. Then you open the French window, step onto the balcony and let your gaze wander over the rooftops to the Sabina hills.

Loft · Poggio Mirteto
A staircase rising on hemp ropes, light drifting softly through tall windows, the silence of the hills. At Casa Matteotti, even time is suspended.
The loft
Some houses you visit; others feel like home the moment you step inside. Casa Matteotti is all yours: no strangers, no schedules, just the pleasure of being together. Look up and the living room opens skywards, between wooden beams and white light, while the black staircase climbs lightly to the attic, as if floating in mid-air.
The warm yellow of the sofa inviting you to sit, the red of the chairs that speaks of long dinners with friends, the deep green of a kitchen that smells of coffee. You arrive tired of the city and leave wrapped in a different kind of calm. Rome is an hour away, yet it feels a world apart.

Spaces
From the first coffee to the last light of evening: every room holds its own moment.

Afternoons drift by on the big yellow sofa, a book in your hands and the light changing colour on the walls. Then you open the French window, step onto the balcony and let your gaze wander over the rooftops to the Sabina hills.

02
The day begins here, with the scent of coffee and morning sun on the wooden worktop. A white, cosy kitchen embraced by a green wall, with everything you need to cook at your own pace. Above the doorway, an old stone lintel reminds you how long this house has been welcoming those who arrive.

03
A table that grows longer when the evening turns lovely, red chairs, a painting of hearts on the wall. Here breakfasts are never rushed and dinners always end later than planned.

04
Climbing the floating staircase is a small ritual in itself. At the top waits the most intimate hideaway in the house: a low bed beneath old beams, warm wood under bare feet, a white armchair for reading late into the night. Next door, the bathroom with its tub, to end the day in warm water. The ceiling slopes gently, so mind your head: it's simply asking you to slow down.

05
A snug room beneath a wooden ceiling, where lamplight settles softly on the walls. A comfortable double sofa bed and, watching over your sleep, an angel painted in a gilded frame.

06
The first is fresh and bright, with a rain shower among grey tiles, in harmony with the rest of the house: perfect for waking up. The second lives in the attic, among old beams and wooden floors, with a bathtub where the day's tiredness simply slips away. Two different ways of taking care of yourself.

Poggio Mirteto
Location
Poggio Mirteto is a village resting on the Sabina hills, among silvery olive groves and medieval towns that seem frozen in time. Wander through little streets and squares, sip a coffee at the bar, listen to the silence of the countryside. And everything you need is just a few steps away.
When the city calls again, Rome is about an hour away: from Poggio Mirteto Scalo station the FL1 regional train takes you straight to Rome. And in the evening, you come back here.
